Jan 24, 2012 - I saw a few years ago a dealer selling 1 oz silver rounds not 1 troy oz rounds yet at .50 cents over spot. I always buy troy ozs!

Jan 24, 2012 - About 2 weeks ago on a Austrailian silver forum (silver stackers). There are reports and pictures of fake Canadian maple leafs, 1oz Pan American bars, 1oz Sunshine Mint bars and 1oz Scottsdale bars. All bought on Feebay, made in China. You need to acid test and use secific gravity test to be sure! I'm afraid the government might do something to "protect us from fakes".

Jan 24, 2012 - They've been on eBay for years now. I had a chat to the guy who produces them. He said, "he makes money on peoples ignorance."

Jan 24, 2012 - If someone makes a mistake in buying one on feebay you can always file a claim and say that the item was not as described and get your cash back. If you look at the description it does say 100 mil art bar ext, but it also says 1 troy ounce and thats where you get them for not describing the item properly :). They only weigh approx 25 grams. So if you know anyone who bought one by mistake, have them file a claim asap since you only have a limited time.

Jan 24, 2012 - If Silver goes higher you will see more of these fakes. please see the video of ozcopper. Canadian Maple leaf and sunshine mint bars that looks real but fake. I am buying numismatic or junk silver coins. its much safer than bullion coins or rounds. just know the specific weight and diameter of a coin your buying and also the thickness.
